Al Gore Climate Reality Talks in West Sussex

Al Gore’s powerful Climate Reality presentation is available in West Sussex…… This March Carrie was invited to be trained by Al Gore former US Vice President, leading climate change scientists and climate change communicators in Manila, Philippines on a three day training programme. There were 700 other passionate environmental communicators from 33 different countries on this programme and there are over 10,000 Climate Reality Leaders now trained worldwide. Over the coming months Carrie Cort, winner of the BBC Surrey and Sussex Community Hero, Green Champion Award will share Al Gore’s Climate Reality presentation with the people of West Sussex.  

In partnership with the Transition Groups in Horsham, Chichester and Worthing the talk will share the truths about what climate change is doing to our world and how we can stop it by shifting to clean, renewable energy. The aim of the presentation is to break down the complex terms of science and policy into the language of everyday life so people everywhere can understand how climate change directly affects them and join the millions worldwide working for solutions. As well as the grim facts about the negative effects humans are having on the planet which sustains us Carrie quickly likes to say “the presentation also includes lots of statistics, evidence and reasons to be cheerful”.

26th April 8-9pm Transition Horsham at the Quaker Meeting House, Worthing Road, Horsham, RH12 1SL (opposite Sainsburys).

Cost: donation.

9th May 7.30-9.30pm Transition Chichester, Bassil Shippam Centre, Tozer Way, PO19 7LG.

Cost: £5 or £3 concession.

We are currently in discuss with Transition Town Worthing about a date for a shared supper followed by an after dinner Climate Realty presentation.
