Autumnfest – sustainable living event

SATURDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 10AM-3PM

DOWNLANDS COMMUNITY SCHOOL, DALE AVENUE, HASSOCKS, SUSSEX. Free admission

Children and natureSussex Green Living will be participating at this Autumnfest event, so come along and meet us.  HKD are the organisers of this great family event.

HKD are a group of Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Keymer and Ditchling residents working to support a community response to climate change and shrinking supplies of cheap energy, building resilience and happiness in the process.  This is HKD’s annual celebration of sustainable living  and will involve local food producers, solar and other alternative energy and energy saving suppliers, craft demonstrations and examples of recycling, re-using and other aspects of sustainable living.  There will be a variety of stalls, craft and other skills demonstrations, exhibits, discussions and activities, including children’s activities, as well as delicious foods to sample and buy. There will also be a cafe with delicious handmade cakes and drinks, hot and cold, soup and gorgeous Ploughman’s lunches made from locally-sourced ingredients.

If you would like to volunteer to help in any way either to promote the event by posting leaflets in your street/area or on the day, helping to set up or clear away please get in touch by emailing at info@hkdtransition.org.uk

We want you, the people of Sussex, to take some ownership of www.sussexgreenliving.co.uk. Forward your suggestions for events, videos, parks and green spaces etc to be added to “your” site.
