Electrical repairs
Below is a list of electrical items we regularly see. Please check to see if there is an easy fix you can do yourself to save having to bring it in.
Microwaves, printers and TVs are more challenging for us to fix – have a look at the list below for what we might be able to do before booking them in. We are currently seeing a lot of Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners where the issue is the battery needs to be replaced. If your Dyson is over five years old, and is losing charge fast or no longer has good suction this is likely to be the problem. We are happy to help you fit a new battery, but you will need to bring this in to your appointment.
We are, however, always happy to look at items or provide advice on these items, but please bear in mind that we are unlikely to fix them.
If you do decide to drop in on the off chance of a repair we may be able to help you if the volunteers are free, but people who have booked appointments will get priority.
Please note our repair service only runs until 2pm.
We are no longer offering laptop/computer/tablet repairs. We also cannot fix mobile phones (including cracked and broken screens).
