Summer holiday fun

 

Looking for things to do this summer?  Here are three events which are free of charge and will get everyone into the great outdoors running around, letting off steam and having fun!

Wednesday 7th August 12 – 4pm – come and join us for National Playday event in Victoria Park, Haywards Heath, West Sussex. The events aim to encourage young people and families to use the park and its facilities, the theme of the event being ‘Nature and the environment’.

The Sussex Green Living mascot Pedro and his recycled robots will be playing green games, to include a recycling treasure hunt and inspirational eco art.  Also taking place bug fancy dress for the under 8 ‘s,  mini beasts arts and crafts, a series of tasks that everyone young and old can take part in, like recording species of bugs and plants, changing a bike wheel, using a piece of the gym equipment, games and competitions.  Bring a picnic and join in the fun.  More information here.

Sunday 25th August – Sussex Green Living geocache (modern day treasure hunt) location to be finalised nearer the date.  Put on your walking boots, sun hat, binoculars, pack a picnic and join us for a trek in the countryside to find hidden treasure.  More information about Geocaching here and here.  If you would like come on this date or be kept informed about future dates just email us. We will then confirm all the details nearer the 25th August.

Friday 30th August – 9.30 – 11am Sussex Green Living inspirational eco art session at the Billingshurst Children and Family Centre.
