Each year the South Downs National Park Authority hosts a gathering of teachers and ‘learning outside the classroom’ providers to share ideas and inspiration around using the Park to enhance learning. This free teacher’s conference has some inspirational keynote speakers, such as Dr Sue Waite and Ian Blackwell from Natural Connections and Pam Ellis and Claire Aspinall from Park Discoverers.
Carrie Cort, Environmental Educator and Climate Campaigner will be delivering a workshop with Nicola Peel, founder of www.eyesofgaia.com, Solutionist, Environmental Education, and Speaker, entitled ‘Solutions and Systems’. This session will focus not on the environmental problems we are currently faced with, but on the solutions. Through looking at Biomimicry, (humans copying nature), we will explore green chemistry, architecture, energy and transport and we will tap into the best Research and Development department known. Understanding the importance of closed loop systems is vital for the future of our planet.
