Make small changes that will save money, improve your life and help the planet!
At Sussex Green Living, our mission is to help you to make easy, impactful changes in your life that will benefit both you and the planet. We’ve put together a host of suggestions on our ‘easy to be green pages‘, as well as supplying loads of inspirational books and films, and holding group events such as Sussex Green Ideas and the Youth Eco Forum. You can join us at the Sussex Green Hub in Horsham on the last Saturday of each month too. We also run recycling schemes all over West Sussex for those hard-to recycle single use plastic items that won’t go in the household bin. And we provide recycling information from your local council.
Know where you are to know where you’re going
The Small Green Steps survey is now closed.
We are delighted to announce that John Preston, one of our Horsham Repair Cafe volunteers, was the lucky winner of the hamper, kindly donated by John Lewis and Waitrose. The hamper contained £150 worth of local and ethical products and was presented during our Christmas Sussex Green hub event on 18th December.
John was selected at random from the 254 Small Green Steps survey respondents. Thank you to everyone who took part. We are currently compiling personal responses to those people who participated with ideas for action to reduce your carbon footprint.
Join one of our online forums or local activities for great ideas and inspiration.
You can be part of an inspiring community, and contribute ideas of your own. We have both Sussex Green Ideas and our Youth Eco Forum, so see if they are right for you. Or you can simply contact us through our website or Facebook: we’re always happy to help. If you’d like to chat in person, look at our Events calendar to see where the Inspiration Eco Station will be popping up next. We are at local Sussex events throughout the summer.
The Sussex Green Hub, held monthly in Horsham, re-opens on 25th September for recycling, repairs, refills, and refreshments. Meanwhile, we’ll be at Horsham’s monthly market on the last Saturday of each month.
