The Conservation Volunteers have been reclaiming green places since 1959. Their site includes lots of information about how you can help preserve the green spaces around your home, getting involved in voluntary work through the green gym, events and there is loads of great ideas for children to learn about gardening and food, including:
- Dye an egg with onion skins – wait until you see what happens!
- A handy guide for when to plant your seeds and the vitamins they contain.
- How to build a bird bath.
- Tips on growing vegetables from seeds and much more.
Enjoy but don’t spend too much time on your computer!
We want you, the people of Sussex, to take some ownership of the site.Forward your suggestions for events, videos, parks and green spaces etc to be added to “your” site.
